Prince seems to throw numbers into his songs almost as much as he refers to colours. Some are just used to replace words in the song lyrics, but some have more meaning than just sounding cool. The songs "7" and "2 the 9's" and all the Madhouse joints spring to mind, but the number that stands out as having more meaning than even Prince himself would like is 319. 319 or 3.19 is a bible quote, most likely Job 3.19 which says "the slave is free from his master". But there are other 3.19's in the bible that - coincidentally or not - contain lines from songs. The truly scary quotes are the ones that comment more on Prince's life outside of his music (if there is such a life). Below are the 3.19 quotes that refer in some way to Prince. Dig in particular Isaiah 3.19 and 1 Kings 3.19.
