I love the range of expressions. So much character, so much personality, a very devilish look in his eye. I am having so much fun watching Dom grow, it is very sad his next shoot will be the big ONE. You just want a way to stop them from growing. It all changes way to fast !
That smile totally draws you in. He has such an infectious personality that I totally fell in love with him. He smiled at everything, he thought I was funny (probably more like thought I was crazy), and we had the shoot done and dusted in record time.
(yep i know he has that little dribble line. I love it, so baby)
I know his Mummy will be waiting to see how I write this blog post.
This little man has been the only baby to completely beat me. I can be a stubborn person in the sense that I will persist and be as patient as required to get the shots I need from a newborn. Many a time I am told how patient I must be to sit and pat or rock or cuddle a bub until they drift to sleep. It is pure determination to get those cute shots.
Then I met Hunter. He is one little guy that at 8 days old was much smarter than me! (Yes the frustration at being outsmarted by an 8 day old !!) After 4 and a half hours in the studio he did not want to go to sleep at all. I do however have sleepy pics. The camera can make us believe that he slept and posed and did everything we could have possibly wanted but really, no. Hunter did not want to miss out on his photo shoot one little bit !! To me, these next ones show the real Hunter. This is the 8 day old baby who I met. I am totally blown away that at EIGHT days he is holding his head up like this. These are straight unedited shots. I was manipulating Hunter into the position I wanted him when he took over and showed me how it was done all on his own. He looked straight at the camera and virtually said, “take my photo”. Yep, we were all blown away. This little man is going to be very smart, I swear he has been here before!
Thank you Daina & Ryan for introducing Hunter to me. He is totally gorgeous, adorable, handsome and has a personality that I can’t wait to see develop over the next 12 months. xo

Meet super, mega adorable Kade. He is so gorgeous !! He has the personality to match his looks and thrives on attention.
I actually have the fastest shoots with Kade because he simply loves attention and smiles non stop. What a perfect model!
Those captivating blue eyes, that full face beaming smile, that twinkle of cheekiness in his eyes, how can you not fall in love with this little man.
Time seems to be flying during Byron’s first year. He is now moving around rather fast and loves to be entertained.
He isn’t happy to just sit and watch the world pass by anymore, not that he ever really did.
He now wants to be a part of everything - exploring, playing and learning. Babies really don’t stay babies for very long at all !
I remember Imogen’s newborn shoot like it was yesterday. It was one that stands out from the rest as she was the first bub to road test the new studio. Her Mum and Dad never batted an eyelid at all the power tools and rubbish everywhere when they came in with their tiny newborn.
We were early into the renovations of the studio and the place was a absolute mess !! It didn’t stop them from bringing little Immy in and letting me test the different lighting conditions, the new poses and begin my journey in a totally new way way of shooting. Her shots are still some of my favourites and a shoot I did last weekend requested some of their photos exactly the same as Imogen’s newborn ones.
Throughout the year, Imogen has developed personality. I have watched her reach her physical milestones of sitting, crawling and walking along with the development of her personality. She is the sweetest little princess and gives the biggest grins but like most girls, has that little bit of attitude sneaking in and I love it !! The character the bubs start to show is my favourite thing to capture and I know I have done just that over the 12 months.
