Cherish Yourself: Love who you are!

You are beautiful. Yes you! You are strong and amazing and capable of achieving anything you put your mind to! I believe in you and so should you!

I asked several women to write about themselves. To think how they would describe themselves and put their hearts on to paper. The response was very emotional but everyone said they loved the chance to stop and reflect on themselves.

This is story number six ….. Enjoy!

Who Am I?

My name is Kristy.

I’m 26 and a SINGLE parent to a beautiful little lady and the carer to my disabled father.

I completed University as a single parent, and devoted my life to raising a well rounded happy child.
Recently back into the professional workforce I find myself torn by career, family, social life and life in general.

Although desperate to find the person who will make my life complete, I am comforted by the fact that I will never truely be alone,
that those little fingers will always be entwined with mine no matter how hard life may become, because when she tells me ” I love you most” lifes troubles seems so distant.

I choose to dance in the rain, to sing loudly and eat nutella from a jar because I can, because I DESERVE to smile. I give my all to make people smile, if even for a moment.
I am strong, and confident, a force to be reckoned with. I deserve a joyous life, so I’m making that happen.

Being a single parent has given me character I never knew I could have; and even though I had to lose something to be here, I’m so very grateful that I arrived in one piece…
well, one piece and my little cheeky half.
