Happy 2010 everyone! I hope you enjoyed celebrating the new year in whatever style you chose. We photographed a beautiful wedding yesterday followed by the fireworks on the riverbank with the kids and then with good friends. A wonderful end to the year.

A new year means reflection. I have been doing a lot of that over the last week as we plan our studio revamp. It is really more completing. When we moved into the new studio, we knew we hadn’t finished it to our original dreams. Time was of the essence and we had to test run the plan to see how everyone would use the space. How we thought things would run, and how they did has been a little different. Now that we know what works we are into finishing off the “mood”. It is very exciting and I am having so much fun shopping (who would have thought ….). I will keep you updated with the developments along the way.

We have another week left of holidays and that week is going to involve ordering our new samples, finalising our new price lists, updating the website and more shopping. It is nice to have some time to catch up and finish projects that I haven’t had a chance to complete. We can be contacted via email if anyone has any questions or wishes to purchase vouchers etc.

Here is a few shots from our Christmas “Santa” photos. They were Santa-less actually. I had designed a Christmas special based around kids who hate Santa but for the Mums and Dads who would love that Christmas photo captured. I thoroughly enjoyed the four days we did these. We were absolutely run off our feet and had to turn people away as we were fully booked. For those who missed out, they will make an appearance in 2010 so stay tuned to the blog (along with something a little different as well).

Enjoy the snippets from Christmas ..

The winner of our facebook giveaway is number 8 - Reannon Jeffery

Thanks to everyone who played along.

We wish you the merriest Christmas and I hope you all enjoy the love from those nearest and dearest. Cherish the moments, take lots of photos and make memories for years to come.

We are officially on holidays. We have two weddings and one birth in between the time we return to work but most of our time will be spent just being a family. Cherishing those moments with the kids and giving them our full attention that we haven’t been able to give over the last three months.

Blog posts will still be appearing although there may be a delay sometimes depending on the events of that day.

We reopen the studio on January 11, and if you need to contact us before this please drop me an email and it will be responded to. It may time a little longer but I guarantee we will see it.  There are some changes coming. Stay tuned for news as it happens.

Merry Christmas to all … and to all a good night xo

What a way to finish the wedding season ! We have a NYE wedding but this technically was the last before our Christmas break.

Kevin & Jan are simple people. Simple in the fact that they don’t see the need for drama, stress and fuss. Simple in that life is all about the moments and people that matter to them.  When they came to see us, they said they are not photo people. Now I beg to differ on that one. These two are one of the most natural couples we have photographed. They made the photos seem incredibly easy and there was no drama, stress or fuss. Just two people who love each other for who they are. I could tell that they love each others sense of humour, love each others company and are so well matched.

Kevin is the head chef at Club Taree. He is bloody brilliant at what he does and of course the menu was all created by himself. It was the most amazing menu. I have to mention that the dessert was to die for ! An amazing dessert bar filled with mini treats. Tiramisu in shot glasses, caramel tarts. mudcakes, rocky road cheesecakes and fruit salad spoons all in petite little serves. You just had to try everything !

That was teamed with the lolly bar where everyone was invited to fill their box with whatever lollies you desire. This is always a hit at weddings!

There is only a thing left to say, check out the amazing poses that Jan pulls off. I am convinced she is meant to be infront of the camera.

Merry Christmas guys. We really enjoyed everything about your day. xo

I have just put up a facebook comp you may like to be a part of.

Head over to our facebook page here and you can win a $50 voucher just in time for Christmas.

Merry Christmas all.

This family came to see me in October (yep that is how far some of these blog posts will go back).  It is so amazing when people travel just to have their photos updated and these guys came all the way from Gulgong !

The girls were so easy to work with. The older two, Dariea and Jade, are at a wonderful age where just simply talking and laughing with them gets brilliant results. There is always one challenge and bubba Karley was determined to make me work for even the smallest grin. Mission achieved though as my crazy antics get them to crack eventually.

Merry Christmas girls. xo

One of the many family portrait shoots I have done in November.

I photographed Jett when he was a tiny little bub and now that Miss Ava has arrived it was time to update the family album. We first photographed Ava’s newborn shoot which I will share another day, followed with this shoot a couple of weeks later.

I love the fact these are so natural. Everyone says they want natural and that is the style I shoot. The biggest part is the people and whether or not they be “natural” and go with it. These guys did just that. The natural love, fun and family bond shows all by itself.
